Reducing a Mature Sycamore Tree
R Watson Tree Surgery recently carried out a substantial crown reduction on a mature sycamore tree in Elswick, near Preston, Lancashire.
Although the before and after photographs may appear quite similar at first glance, the reduction was far more significant than the images suggest.
A Sympathetic Crown Reduction
Approximately six feet was removed from the extremity of each of the tree’s main branches.
Rather than carrying out harsh pruning, the reduction was completed sympathetically to retain the tree’s natural shape and appearance while reducing its overall size. This approach allows the tree to continue thriving while making it more appropriate for its surroundings.
