Pine Removal, Silverdale, Lancashire
Safely Removing a Large Pine Tree Above a Road and Telephone Line
R Watson Tree Surgery was instructed to remove a large pine tree at a property in Silverdale, Lancashire.
The tree stood above a stone boundary wall, a public road and an overhead telephone line, meaning the work required careful planning and a controlled dismantling process.
Sectional Dismantling Using Rigging Equipment
Rather than felling the tree in one piece, it was dismantled in carefully controlled sections.
Each branch and limb was lowered using specialist rigging equipment, allowing the timber to be brought safely to the ground without damaging the stone wall, telephone line or the road below.
This method is commonly used where trees are surrounded by buildings, roads, walls or other obstacles that make conventional felling impossible.
All waste was chipped and removed from site.
Timber and Waste Removal
Once the tree had been dismantled, all brash was processed through the wood chipper and removed from site.
The larger timber was also cleared efficiently with the assistance of a John Deere tractor, allowing the site to be left clean and tidy at the end of the day.
The Finished Result
Despite the challenging location, the tree was removed safely and efficiently with no damage to the surrounding structures or services.
By the end of the project, the work area had been thoroughly cleared, leaving the customer with a tidy site and peace of mind.
