Honest, Professional Advice from Experienced Arborists

Not every tree needs removing.

If you’re concerned about the condition, safety or future of a tree, we’re happy to assess it and provide honest, practical advice based on years of professional experience.

Whether you’ve noticed dead branches, fungal growth, storm damage or simply want reassurance that your tree is healthy, we’ll explain what we’re seeing in plain English and discuss the options available.

Our aim is always to recommend what’s best for both you and your tree—not simply the biggest job.

When Should You Seek Advice?

Many customers contact us because they’re unsure whether a tree actually needs work.

Common concerns include:

  • Is my tree dangerous?

  • Should this tree be removed or can it be saved?

  • What is this fungus growing on my tree?

  • Why is my tree dying?

  • Are these cracks or cavities a problem?

  • Is the ivy harming my tree?

  • Can I make the tree safer without removing it?

  • Does my tree need pruning or reduction?

Sometimes the answer is straightforward. Sometimes it’s simply a case of monitoring the tree over time rather than carrying out unnecessary work.

A Practical Assessment

Every tree is different.

When we visit, we’ll assess factors such as:

  • Overall health and vigour

  • Signs of decay or disease

  • Structural defects

  • Dead or damaged branches

  • Previous pruning

  • Growing conditions

  • The tree’s location and nearby targets

We’ll then explain our findings and recommend the most appropriate course of action.

Honest Recommendations

Where work is required, we’ll explain why and discuss the available options.

This may include:

  • Deadwood removal

  • Crown reduction

  • Crown thinning

  • Crown lifting

  • Monitoring the tree

  • Complete removal where appropriate

Equally, if we believe no work is necessary, we’ll tell you that too.

Tree Preservation Orders & Conservation Areas

If your tree may be protected by a Tree Preservation Order (TPO) or is located within a Conservation Area, we can advise you on the permissions that may be required before work is carried out and assist with the application process where appropriate.

Formal Reports

Our Tree Assessment & Advice service provides practical, professional guidance based on site inspection and experience. Where a formal arboricultural report, mortgage report, insurance survey or other specialist assessment is required, we’ll be happy to recommend an experienced arboricultural consultant.
