After removing an apple tree that had become too large for the garden, we returned to grind out the remaining stump and restore the area ready for a new lawn.

The mature tree had heavily shaded the garden, preventing grass from growing beneath it. Once the tree had been removed, the stump also needed to be eliminated so the space could be fully reinstated.

The Challenge

Tree stumps can remain an obstacle long after a tree has been felled, making it difficult to re-landscape or establish new lawns. The client wanted the stump completely removed so the garden could be returned to usable lawn.

Our Solution

Using our professional stump grinder, we ground the stump below ground level before removing the grindings. The area was then backfilled with fresh soil, carefully compacted, seeded with grass and raked level, leaving it ready for the lawn to regenerate.

The area will be back to lawn in no time. 

The Result

With the stump completely removed and the area reinstated, there was no visible trace of the former tree. The client was left with a tidy garden that could quickly return to a healthy lawn.
